Department of Civil Engineering is the department under SRM University. Laboratory

  • The labs are equipped with state of the art equipment including universal testing machine, tri-axial shear tester, loading frame with accessories, ultrasonic concrete tester, torsion testing machine, vibration equipment and total station. The computer center of the department uses special-purpose commercial software packages like GTSTRUDL, STAADPRO, AUTOCAD, PRIMAVERA.The remote sensing and GIS laboratory is equipped with high end software and accessories like ArcGIS9.1, MAPInfo, ENVI Image proc

Library

  • Department has an excellent library for the benefit of students, faculties and researchers. As one of the best established libraries according to International Standards, the University Library has a large collection of books covering various branches of Engineering and Technology, Medical and Health Sciences and Science and Humanities and its related fields.

Hostel

  • There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the necessary facilities. Among the hostels on this campus, 9 are dedicated for men and 6 for women. All the hostels are well-equipped, with adequate ventilation and lighting facility. Each room is fitted with tube lights and fans, and each student is provided with a cot, chair and a table. Periodicals and newspapers are supplied to each hostel.
