Department of Commerce is affiliated to University of Jammu and accredited as 'A' Grade University by National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India. College aims provide high quality business education to the students and thus enable them to be confident and well-equipped with the knowledge and skill needed in the national and global markets visa-vice to provide extension service to the community in the form of the extension lectures, seminars and conferences on the most relevant topics. The Department of Commerce established in the year 1964, has now been upgraded to Department of Research Studies (DRS), first phase of Special Assistance Programme, funded with financial support of thirty-one lakhs. The SAP (Special Assistance Programme) has helped the department to grow to new heights.
