Department of Economics, Dibrugarh University was incepted in the year 1967 to disseminate knowledge through research, teaching and developing agile professionals for the field of Economics. The department offers M. Phil, Ph.D., Post Graduate Masters and one post graduate diploma programme for its students. The vision of the department is to develop itself into a centre of excellence in near future.
