Department of Education, Shivaji University is approved by NAAC. The department has always updated itself and changed the thrust areas of teaching and research over the years in keeping with the UGC, NCTE guidelines at the M Ed, M Phil, and Ph D levels. It has started need based courses of PG Diplomas. The department has International collaborations with teachers as Master Trainers for GLOBE (Washington D C) -started by Al Gore, WWF, Intel and Microsoft and train school science teachers of different states in India, train B.Ed/M.Ed students for the conduct of Experiments related to Environment to save Earth and disseminate ICT for lesson planning, teach and conduct research.
