Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering is the department under SRM University. The ECE department at SRM University prepares students for careers in this constantly evolving discipline. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with the Centre for Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Taramani to work together in industrial projects as well as for academic interactions. SRM University is also planning to launch a nano/mini satellite The ECE department is actively involved in the mission and works closely with Indian Space Research Organisation officials.

Classroom

  • The Department has Modern Lecture Halls & "Smart Classrooms".

Laboratory

  • The ECE Department has 14 laboratories. These include DSP, microprocessor, communication, optical, VLSI and embedded systems. The labs offer opportunities for students to work on a wide range of advanced software packages

Library

  • Department has an excellent library for the benefit of students, faculties and researchers. As one of the best established libraries according to International Standards, the University Library has a large collection of books covering various branches of Engineering and Technology, Medical and Health Sciences and Science and Humanities and its related fields.

Hostel

  • There are separate hostels for men and women on the campus, with all the necessary facilities. Among the hostels on this campus, 9 are dedicated for men and 6 for women. All the hostels are well-equipped, with adequate ventilation and lighting facility. Each room is fitted with tube lights and fans, and each student is provided with a cot, chair and a table. Periodicals and newspapers are supplied to each hostel.

ExtraCurricular

  • It's a diverse community of students at SRM University, and the activities on offer are as diverse and varied too.
