The Department of English is concerned with the Post-Graduate studies in English as well as Doctoral Programme. The duration of Master of Arts is a two-year course consisting of four semesters of six months each in sequence. The Department envisages seminars, symposia, debates and other academic programmes, is offering course Master of arts and Doctor of philosophy.

  • All the classrooms of the department are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Library

  • The Nagaland University Central Library, Kohima, started its collections of books when the University received the statutory recognition and within a short span of 8 years the collection has grown up to 32,916 volumes of books, back volumes of Journals etc. It has build up reasonably very useful collection of books. Currently the library subscribes to 75 International and National Journals, covering all the seven Depts. located at the Kohima Campus.
