Department of English is the part of University of Kashmir and approved by NAAC. The Deparment Strives to develop literary and critical sensibility so that students are able to comprehend, appreciate and analyse various literary genres, ensure the acquisition of proficiency skills in reading, writing and teaching among students so that they contribute to the educational facilities in the state of Jammu & Kashmir and to encourage and promote research in various areas of literature and language.
