Department of Library and Information Sciences, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Women's University  is accredited by NAAC. Library and Information science as a discipline has an all time demand. This has only increased in the recent past, with educational institutions preferring to have trained personnel to manage there libraries. Investment on books and journals has become non-negotiable for Universities, which are making increased permission in the budget year after year.
