Department of Mathematical Sciences, Tezpur University offers Master's degree courses. The objective of producing trained manpower for undertaking research and teaching in mathematics and allied branches of basic and applied sciences. It also aimed to groom trained mathematicians for problem solving in industry and other concerns.

Classroom

  • The classrooms/ lecture halls in the college are equipped with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • The laboratory is well equipped with 2 high performance servers, 1 workstation and 35 desktops (P4 and Core processor). Out of the 2 server one is Linux based basically used for programming purpose and another is Windows based file server. One Linux based Workstation is also used for programming purpose. The laboratory is equipped with the latest scientific and mathematical software packages such as Matlab, Mathematica, SPSS, FORTRAN, C, C++ compilers.

Library

  • The Students of the Department have access to the university central library equipped with a good collection of textbooks, reference books and national and international journals related to mathematics. A reading room is attached to the departmental library for use of the students. The departmental library is currently being managed with the participation of the research scholars.

Hostel

  • The university provides hostel facilities for all of the departments. It Provides separate hostel facilities for the boys and girls.
