Department Of Mathematics, School of Physical Sciences offers M.Sc. in Mathematics and also M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes. Academic activities of the department, apart from teaching and research, include activities like organization of Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Refresher Courses and Winter Schools for serving-teachers. The Departmental Library has been sponsored by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (DAE), Mumbai. Apart from this there is also another huge collection of books and journals in the central library of the University. The M.Sc. programme is managed by a competent core faculty and backed by updated syllabi and computer laboratory.
