Department of Philosophy is affiliated to University of Gauhati. The main objectives of the department is to provide philosophical knowledge keeping in view the global trend in the subject, to provide the environment for the flourishing of the philosophical mind to help in developing through the study of philosophy an analytical outlook and to provide education based on epistemic, aesthetic and spiritual values for the holistic growth of the student.
