The department of Political Science, Berhampur University is a part of Berhampur University. The department offers education in the field of Political Science. The Department has produced so far, 2 D.Litts.,  47 Ph.Ds and about 170 M.Phils. Besides this about 550 dissertations have been produced by the M.A. students under the supervision and guidance of the teachers of the Department. Some of the research projects operating in the Department are funded by organisations like UGC and ICSSR.
