Department of Radiology, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University offers education in the field of Radiology. The department offers round the clock emergency, X-ray and ultrasound facilities manned by resident doctors and radiographers. Reporting is done on the spot for urgent cases. Bedside Xrays and ultrasound are also provided through portable units.

Classroom

  • The classrooms/ lecture halls in the college are equipped with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • The department has acquired a 1.5 Tesla multispeed MRI and high resolution mammography units. MRI system is equipped with advanced coils and softwares with facilities for diffusion weighted images, magnetic resonance spectroscopy, cardiac, perfusion and functional MRI.

Library

  • The library's present collection consist of 30358 Medical books, 30500 back volumes bound journals and CDs of 119 important medical books. The library is currently ( year 2008 ) subscribing to 89 print journals and 104 e-journal (WLL CORE journals) in addition to general non medical books reading section.

Hostel

  • The university provides hostel facilities to the students.

ExtraCurricular

  • The Foundation Day of the department was celebrated on 17th December 2005. First National Pediatric Radiology CME was held in 2006.
