Department of Sociology is a part of Shivaji University. Department offers Master of Art, Master of Philosophy (Sociology) and Master of Sociology courses. Department goal is to equip the students with the latest sociological knowledge, research aptitude and skills. Vision and Mission of the Department is advancement and dissemination of sociological knowledge for upholding values such as democracy, equality, social justice and inclusiveness required for just and humane society.
