The Post-graduate Department of studies in Geology is the part of University of Mysore, was started under the stewardship of late Professor M.N. Viswanathaiah at Yuvaraja's College, Mysore. The Department owes its gratitude to these two eminent pioneers whose brilliance and farsightedness made it possible for this department to attain National and International recognition.
