District Institute of Education & Training, Nongstoin are expected to provide not only academic support but also educational leadership at the district level. Besides, imparting Pre/In Service elementary teacher education, DIETs are likewise responsible for the conduct of various short term trainings, educational studies and surveys, development and transaction of teacher education curriculum, assessing planning, advising and meeting overall educational needs and aspirations of the District.
