Dr. Ambedkar Institue of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition (DAIHMCN), Chandigarh was established in 1990,it is one of the 51 Institutes to train young promising men and women to provide manpower for the hospitality industry. It is a part of NCHMCT (national council for hotel management and catering technology) organization, which is guided and controlled by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Their motto is “Specialize or Perish” they lay special emphasis to provide training environment to their student to be gainfully absorbed in Hotels,motels, restaurants, tourist resorts, industrial canteens and other allied outlets. The mission of the institute is to Impart Hospitality Education consistently for meeting professional standards, with an aim to develop human resources at global levels in the sphere of hospitality and tourism to strengthen the worldwide economy.
