The Thai Moogambigai Dental College and Hospital (Faculty of Dental Sciences) was established, by Tmt Kannammal Educational Trust, has been upgraded to the status of deemed university. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has given theDeemed University Status to Thai Moogambigai Dental College and Hospital from January 2003 in the name of Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute (Dr.MGR Deemed University).

Laboratory

  • All the seven main departments of dentistry have well equipped labs with all modern facilities and apparatus. The university also has a 200-chair dental hospital function inside the campus.

Library

  • A central library with more than 10,000 books, over 100 national and international journals in dentistry and basic medical sciences are available. There are also departmental libraries with the latest editions of textbooks recommended for study by D.C.I. Internet, Xerox, Scanning are some of the facilities available.

Hostel

  • Separate hostels are available for men and women wit a hostel mess, which is run on dividing system with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The mess serves hygienic, quality food that is healthy.

  • Periodic medical education Programmes, seminars, workshop and dental conference are held for the promotion of excellence, competence and research of the dental field.
