The Faculty of Expressive Cultures, Media and Communications, at the Himgiri zee university (University in the Sky), is conceived as the flagship programme of the University and is based on a more inclusive model of the study of Expressive Cultures rather than the more traditional department of Communications and Media Studies. The term expressive culture refers to forms of expression in culture (music, drama, theatre, performance, plastic arts, spoken and verbal expressions) that communicate socio-cultural, ideological, political, aesthetic and personal aspects of living. The Faculty centers on the traditional expressive cultures and folklore of the diverse peoples and cultures.
