In response to the growing need for qualified nurses throughout the nation, the GITAM School of Nursing was established in the main campus of GITAM University, Visakhapatnam. With permission from Indian Nursing Council, UGC & MHRD, Govt. of India, the institute offers B.Sc. Nursing program. Clinical learning is provided to students at the GITAM Multi-Specialty Hospital. To give students exposure and practical learning, field visits at health care centers and hospitals are conducted. World class facilities including digital learning, e-classrooms, Wi-Fi facility, and suitable accommodation along with well equipped laboratories are offered by the institute. Other remarkable aspects of the institution include the Student Nurses Association, NCC, NSS and Personality development training.
