The G.  Narayanamma Institue of Technology & Science, an engineering college in Hyderabad for women, was founded by late Sri Pulla Reddy Garu in 1997, with the objective of providing an excellent learning facility for women to pursue the education in engineering. It is today considered one of the best engineering colleges in Hyderabad. GNITS  is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), accredited by NBA (AICTE). GNITS is the first women's college in Andhra Pradesh to obtain the ISO 9001 : 2008 Certification.

Laboratory

  • GNITS has one seperate Internet Center in the administrative block with 60 systems This lab is equipped with 1 Mbps leased line. The facility is is provided by the management for all the students and staff of GNITS. Internet Center is under the control of Computer Science & Engineering Department.   • The college library has many journals for the students both technical and general which not only help them with technical assistance but also refresh their mind. We have 30 international journals in print version and also an online subscription i.e., the IEEE INDEST AICTE. Among the Indian journals, 46 are technical and 8of them are general of which one is the in house general “WE” i.e., Women Empowerment of the H&BS department. We also have 8 Indian technical and 19 general magazines.

Hostel

  • G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science provides accomodation to students wishing to reside in the hostel. The hostel also has a Hostel Council which is an advisory body comprising the Warden of the Hostel (as its Chairman), the Asst. Warden and the elected student secretaries as its members.
