The Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce established in the academic year 1989-90, was initially catering to Arts and Commerce streams upto B.A. and B.Com. level. In the subsequent year (1990-91) the Science faculty was introduced. In Summary the College provides UG education leading to B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. degrees in English Medium. It is affiliated to Goa University and the is accredited with B+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Banglore, a U.G.C. body that grants accreditation to colleges and universities.
