Government College Of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore was started functioning from the year 1945 with two UG programmes B.E.- Civil Engg. & B.E. – EEE but later college added more disciplines in its programmes. In ersthwhile college was siuated in Peelamedu and recognized as an Arthur Hope College of Technology but in 1950 GCT shifted to the present campus at Thadagam Road and in 1951 they renamed as Government College of Technology (GCT), which is an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University. The objective of the college is to produce a breed of creative minds who can use their imagination in developing new products & machines for the mankind. The Government College of Technology Students' Co-operative Stores is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act., 1961 of the Government of Tamilnadu. The Principal is the Ex-officio President of the Stores and two staff members render honorary assistance as Vice-President and Secretary of the Stores. Step 1: The Placement Cell sends invitations to potential recruiters for taking part in campus recruitment process along with the placement brochure.
Step 2: Interested companies respond by sending their company profile along with their requirement and remuneration.
Step 3: The Placement cell coordinates with the recruiters and a mutually agreeable date is selected for conducting recruitment process.
Step 4: Students are informed of the company and details of interested students are sent to the company.
Step 5: Recruitment process is held on the planned date.
