Govt College of Teacher Education Dharamsala started to meet the growing demand of trained teachers for educational institutions such as middle and secondary schools. This co-educational institution was catering to the needs of pre-service teacher-trainees only. This college has blossomed into center for excellence in the teacher training programmers for pre-service as well as in-service teachers.This is the only Govt. institution in H. P which has the distinction of providing trained teachers to every nook and corner of Himachal Pradesh and has contributed significantly to meet out the manpower requirement of Secondary Schools.
