The Indian Institute of Material Management was established in 1975 by merging three professional associations. The merged body was called Indian Association of Material Management (IAMM), which was later changed to Indian Institute of Material Management (IIMM). The merger gave birth to an institution that in its current form is the only professionally recognized body for material management in India. IIMM Bangalore is engaged in conducting a wide range of educational courses on Materials & Supply Chain Management, at Graduate and Post Graduate level. Some of the programmes include Graduate and Postgraduate Diploma in Materials Management, Logistics Management, Retail Supply Chain Management, Public Procurement, MBA (Materials Management), MBA Supply Chain Management International Certification courses of Certified Professional in Supply Management, International Diploma in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management etc. Apart from this, IIMM Bangalore organizes in-house Training Programmes to meet specific training requirements of organization.
