Institute imparts separate lecture halls for the learners. The lecture halls of the institute are well equipped with multimedia facilities like projector, LCD etc. Institute imparts conference halls for meeting, conference and other events.

IIT Patna has world class computer centre, which is well kit out with 63 desktops. The computer centre has two 2 Mbps (1:1) Internet connection, one 45 Mbps (1:1) Internet connection, one 12 Mbps (1:1) Internet connection and one 1 Gbps Internet connection. Institute computer lab fulfills the needs and requirements of the learners and faculty by assisting them in their projects and experiments. The computer lab of the institute is managed by the professor, computer centre staff.

The institute library has been inaugurated by Prof. Gautam Barua (Director, IIT Patna). This central library has a collection of text and reference books related to the courses of study. A set of essential text books is being issued to students on group basis. Students may read the reserved copies of the texts kept in the library during library hours.

IIT Patna provides accommodation facilities for the learners by imparting four boys’ hostels and one girl’s hostels. In existing time institute hostel has 500 students. The outside atmosphere of the institute is scenic and encircled by the lush green environment.  The students have access to Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity.  The Boys' hostel campus has a basketball court, a volleyball court, and badminton court.
