Indian Naval Academy (INA) is a shrine of excellence education. INA is shaping sea steward of our country through world class academics and rigorous training in a military atmosphere. The Indian Naval Academy is accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognised by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. The education INA imparts trained young bloods in a manner so that they can handle the complexity of Navy's various responsibilities. INA academy more accentuate on practical training for which they provide training in Seamanship, Navigation, Waterman ship or Damage Control and Fire Fighting. The objective of the INA is to prepare dexterous navy professionals officer by imparting high standard education in the academic field.

The laboratories of the institute are well stocked with latest apparatus and assist learners and faculty in their research. Academy has Computer Lab (Software), Basic Electronics Lab, Electrical Lab, Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab (Hardware), Fluid Mechanics Lab, Physics Lab.
The library is fully kit out with all sorts of books of various branches and subjects. The library is also equipped with fiction and general awareness books. It also provides books pertaining to navy, ships and seas so that cadets can brush up their knowledge well in their leisure time.
