Indira Gandhi Institute of Co-operative Management (IGICM) was established with the mission to inject the professionalization of Management in the Co-operative enterprises. Indira Gandhi Institute is one of the 19 Institutes in the country functioning under the administrative control of National Council for Co-operative Training, New Delhi, funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Agriculture & Co-operation, Government of India. Institute is located at Block-B, Sector-18, Rajajipuram, Lucknow. The institute offers need based job oriented training programmes suiting to the target group of officers of government department and co-operative institutions. The institute has been acting as a nodal agency for various training, research and consultancy needs of the Co-operative institutions and department in the state.
The institute has a Placement Assistance Cell that is committed to provide assistance to students in career planning. The Cell keeps in touch with the prospective corporate bodies for suitably placing the students in different organisations. To help the organisations to know about our students the institute prepares CD and bulletin for final placement. Placement assistance is provided to all students and Campus interview is a regular feature. Also students are provided with exposure, access and practical experience with an organization with the help of seminars and workshops conducted by the institute.
