Institute of Education, Haldia conducts B.Ed. course with the affiliation of Vidyasagar University and is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Institute of Education-Haldia is one of the institutions under the aegis of Indian Center for Advancement of Research and Education. Chronologically speaking, born 2004-2005, it is yet to grow out of its toddling infancy although, academically speaking, it has already acquired the excellence, alacrity and flamboyance of youth. ICARE has taken worthy steps to set up Institute of Education-Haldia with a view to bridging the gap between demand and supply of well trained teachers in this rapidly growing industrial area, the state of West Bengal and the country at large.
