Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Kolkata is one of the premier hotel management schools in the country. It strives to provide need-based professional training to a multitude of young and aspiring hoteliers. Institute subsequently got affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi and approved by National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology, New Delhi and Indira Gandhi Open University, New Delhi.

Classroom

  • All the classrooms of the institute are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • The Institute has a well-equipped state-of-the-art Computer Lab which can accommodate at least thirty-five students at a time. Individual PC stations help enable the faculty to focus on the learning outcomes of each student separately and to provide corrective coaching for the desired level of practice and perfection. Library

  • The library of Institute is Essays and excerpts of the larger works by many different authors are archived here. Total No. of Titles is 120 and No of Volumes is 4500.

Hostel

  • The Boys’ and Girls’ hostels are located in the Institute campus with separate mess facility. The Boys Hostel accommodates more than 150 students whereas the one for the girls can accommodate about 65. Most of the rooms are rented on a triple-sharing basis with a few single rooms which are allotted to the final year students only.

ExtraCurricular

  • There are activities are regularly held like Sports & Games, Food Fests, Cultural Programmes, Chef Contests (Inter & Intra Institutes) and social activities like Blood Donation Camps etc. are organized from time to time.
