The Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), Silvassa is an institute conjointly sponsored by Ministry of tourism, Government of india & Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, affiliated to National Council for hotel Management and catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida.

NCHMCT was set up as an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council is not only known for its conception of the course (B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration), but also as a major quality education institution in itself. 21 central institute of Hotel Management, 12 State Govt. institutes and 19 Private institutes of Hotel management are affiliated to NCHMCT.

Five food craft institutes located in various part of India with diploma programs uniformly follow standardized course curricula prescribed by the NCHMCT for the innovative and successful professional courses.
