The Institute of Life Sciences, Ahmedabad University, was started in August 2012 with a motto “Nurturing Science, Knowledge and Innovation “  promoted by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), one of the best education societies in Western India, is currently offering Ph.D,  M.Sc and Integrated MScprogrammes in Life Sciences.

With a view to encouraging research based teaching and project based learning, a world class infrastructure has been established at the Institute.  Located in the midst of a pristine-environment the Institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure with a team of highly motivated scientists in the area of nanobiotechnology, genetic toxicology, pharmacology, advanced molecular biology and in silico biology.   We are also the first in the country under a Private University to set up  a “Centre of Excellence in Flow Cytometry”.  This facility has enabled our students at ILS and other research institutions to conduct in-depth research to probe the various cellular and molecular events in prokaryotic and mammalian cells.
