IMDR was established in 1974 as a constituent unit of the Deccan Education Society. It took over the MBA programme of the MBA Centre of the University of Pune and the DBM programme, run in the BMCC (a sister institution) since 1968. IMDR is committed to provide quality management education to students and is guided by the values and principles of the DES.

College Facility

Classroom

  • Classrooms are spacious and specifically designed to facilitate participative learning. They are equipped with all the necessary modern technology and presentation facilities.

Laboratory

  • The Centre is primarily a Learning facility and has a resource room for conducting hands-on training and presentations. The Centre has state-of-the-art hardware and software to meet the needs of students of Management and International Trade.

Library

  • The Library stocks books, journals, directories and project reports. Together the texts and reference books number more than 9,400, with a separate section for International Trade. The Library has an Electronic Corporate Database of 16,000 companies, which is updated fortnightly at present. All library records are computerised.

Hostel

  • The IMDR wing of the Block 4 of the Gents Hostel of Fergusson College comprises 17 two-seater rooms which are allotted to students of IMDR and CIT. The Ladies Hostel of the Fergusson College offers 4 seats to lady students of IMDR and CIT.

Placement

The Placement activities are co-ordinated by the placement Council, consisting of student representatives from PGDIT & PGDHR. The Committiees are headed by the placement coordinator who streamlines the procedures involved in the process.
