Institute of Wood Science & Technology admits students for Ph.D. degree who will be registered with Forest Research Institute University, Dehra Dun. The Institute has conducted eight training programmes of one week each for IFS officers on wide ranging topics like Intellectual Property Rights in Forestry Issues, Mangrove Conservation and Management, Advances in Wood Science and Technology and biotechnology for Forest Conservation in addition to imparting training to the officials of Naval Dockyard etc. These short term courses are tailor made for meeting the exclusive requirements of specific groups or organizations.
