Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts was started with 45 students of Drawing Teachers Certificate course (DTC) of one year.  After short time, college was running Drawing & Painting, Sculpture and Commercial Art courses. In 1972-73, the government closed all the external courses and gave recognition of a full flaged fine arts collage as Kalakendra College of Fine Arts in 1973-74. Ipcowala Santram College of Fine Arts is managed by charutar Vidyamandal.
