Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions, North Polytechnic (Formerly known as National Polytechnic) was established in 1993. The Polytechnic is approved by AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource Development and the J and K Government. It also stands affiliated with the J&K State Board of Technical Education for Conducting 3–year full time Diploma Course in Engineering.

Classroom

  • The Polytechnics have spacious and airy class-rooms with sufficient natural light and fitted with comfortable furniture & modern blackboards.

Laboratory

  • The institute has the following well equipped Laboratory and Workshops with modern equipments. These Laboratories and workshops function under the supervision and control of well qualified engineering personnel assisted by other supporting staff. North Polytechnic maintains advanced Computer Laboratory equipped with Pentium IV systems and latest software packages to which students have easy access. The internet facility is also made available in the centre for the benefit of students.

Library

  • North Polytechnic has a common library with large collection of textbooks and reference books covering various disciplines of Engineering for the use of students and the faculty. Magazines, National and Local Dailies are regularly subscribed. The Library timings coincide with the working hours of the Polytechnic. The Library remains open during winter and summer vacations.

Hostel

  • Jamwal Group offers Hostel facility separetely to the desirious male & female students.

  • The facilities cover a wide range of activities, sports, entertainment and cultural activities, technical exhibitions, seminars, educational tours etc. Much emphasis is on development of capabilities, which enable the student to face the real world with confidence and successfully avail of career opportunities after leaving the portals of the Polytechnic.
