Kalna College was established in this place of confluence of divergent cultures in the past when the Second World War was at its zenith and Indian Freedom Movement was heading towards a final showdown. National Assessment and Accreditation Council has been pleased to declare the college accredited at the B++ level. It offers Bachelor of Art, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce course. Kalna College, one of the oldest colleges under the University of Burdwan, is now a flourishing institution with Honours teaching facilities in as many as thirteen subjects.
