Kalra College of Education is affiliated to Jammu University. The college provides Bachelor of Education course. The New National Educational policy demanded Secondary School Teachers of special aptitude towards the profession enabling them to prepare the students to seek knowledge, Creativity turning them into true citizens mastering the art of living together peacefully with fraternity, nationality and humanity.With this aim in view, Kalra Educational Trust, dreamt of comprehensive College of Education to prepare Secondary School Teachers, having broad vision and nationalistic attitude fully aware of global contemporary development in the field of education and knowledge.

Laboratory

  • a) An Audio Visual Aid room is located at first floor having overhead projectors, slide projectors, cassette recorders, V.C.R.'s, CD's, Audio Cassettes, Video cassettes, transparencies etc. b) A well furnished computer lab at first floor has been provided with 20 Computers to provide regular computer instructional facilities. c) A separate General Science lab is located at ground floor with ample lab facilities.

Library

  • The College Library is well furnished and has a spacious reading room with an area of more than1500 Sq ft. Reading room promises a cool, calm and comfortable atmosphere for reading. It is stocked with approximately 3143 books, 50 Journals. There is no dearth of latest books concerning the syllabi, which are issued to the students under rules. Our Library is also rich in resource material in the form of assignments, Micro and Macro Lesson plans books, charts, assignment test and answer sheets of

Hostel

  • The college hostel with boarding facilities for about 50 girls is available with adequate sanitation. The hostel is located in safe environment with round the clock security. TV, Sports, indoor games, telephone and other facilities are provided to boarders. Free transport facility is given to the students besides a healthy menu from a hygienic kitchen.

ExtraCurricular

  • In order to provide opportunities to the students for self development, many activities are organized in the college on regular basis I like:- a) Debates, Symposia, Seminars and declamation contests. b) Literary meets and group discussions. c) Essay/Paper writing and quiz Competitions. d) Cultural Programmers etc.
