Khalsa College established with a specific purpose to rejuvenate Sikh Culture and Language and open up new vistas of scientific and technological education, Khalsa College has justified the faith and trust of its founding fathers by synchronizing tradition with modernity. College mission is to provide opportunities for educational, vocational, professional, social, linguistic and cultural development to the people of all abilities and backgrounds so that they can discover their potential and fulfill their aspirations and to promote morality and sobriety of life, to promulgate and to preach teachings of Ten Gurus as contained in Sri Guru Granth Sahib to imbibe students of the Sikh faith with idealism and moral disciplines taught by the Gurus and fit them for a way of life that will bring credit to the community and the country to develop the faculty of meditation and of religious education and to produce worthy citizens of India.

Classroom

  • All the classrooms of the college are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • All labs are equipped with latest equipments.

Library

  • A fully computerized library with bar code system provides excellent facilities to the scholars. The total number of books in the library exceeds 1,60,000. It has the distinction of housing one of the finest collection of books in the whole state. There has been constant increase in library facilities for the students.

Hostel

  • The four boys' hostels Nabha, Faridkot, Hargobind and Jind provide accommodation to 250 students. The two wings of girls' hostel provide accommodation to 310 students.

ExtraCurricular

  • The college provides regular religious instruction, but there is no compulsion of any kind for non-Sikh students. The N.C.C. Units organised a Blood Donation Camp also Chetan Kumar and Pargat Singh of B.Sc. (Agriculture-II) participated in Rajiv Gandhi Adventure Programme held at Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). During this camp they debated on social issues including female foeticide, illiteracy, unemployment, pollution, corruption, terrorism and drug addiction.

Placement

The Placement Cell provides the latest information. The Placement Cell is functioning actively under the guidance of Dr. Avtar Singh, Director Placement Cell. Avenues are found by conducting pre-placement interviews, group discussions and seminars etc. Top ranking companies frequent the campus and have selected candidates as per their requirement. The college succeeded in inviting reputed companies for placements under the successful initiative taken by Dr. Avtar Singh, Director, Placement Cell.
