Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology established by the "Lourdes Matha Catholic Educational Society" has been approved by the Govt. of Kerala and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the University of Kerala. The college provides Bachelor of Technology, Master of Business Administration and Master of Computer Applications course. The vision of Lourdes Matha Educational Society is to establish a "Center of Excellence" in the field of Engineering and Technology to mould world class professionals.

Laboratory

  • The Center is provided with advanced computing facilities with the state-of-art modern technologies to train manpower in the field of programming languages, data processing and computer networks. The center has all the latest softwares required for Engineering and Scientific applications.

Library

  • All the members of staff and students of the college are entitled to use the Library. All the personal belongings such as text books, note books, files, briefcases, umbrellas etc. should be kept in the property counter. However calculator and plain paper for taking down notes can be taken into the library.

Hostel

  • Hostel facilities for girl students are available in the campus. Accommodation is available for about 80 girls in the hostel. We plan to expand our hostel facilities for girls in the campus itself. The hostel provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere to accelerate the creative talents of the students. LMCST is running four hostels for boys in the city. The Hostel Council consisting of staff and students meet as often as necessary to discuss day-to-day affairs of the hostel. Accommodation for boys

ExtraCurricular

  • LMCST offers many ways to become involved from the moment you step on the campus. Regular cultural programmes include the popular annual cultural festival of the institute AKSHAYA. Various competitions were held in connection with the Cultural Fest viz. Essay writing, Story writing, Poetry writing, Painting, Pencil Drawing, Cartoon Drawing, Collage, Dumb Charades, Extempore, Debate, Quiz, Ad-zap, Tableau, Mime, Mimicry, Chore video, Western Dance, Solo Song, Light Music, Group Song, Fancy Dress

Placement

The Placement and Training Cell of the College is working under the leadership of Faculty members and students from various departments. All qualified students from 2006 and 2007 passout batch have placed in various companies. Even at the time of recession 80% of the qualified students from 2008 and 2009 batch have been placed. 7 students from 2008 batch and 10 from 2009 batch have gone for higher studies.
