The Maharaja Srischandra College was set up by Maharaja Srischandra Nandy in memory of his father Maharaja Manindrachandra Nandy who was a renowned philan-thropic zamindar of cossim bazar. It is affiliated to University of Calcutta. It offers Bachelor of Art General and Honours, Bachelor of Science General, Bachelor of Commerce General and Honours course.
