Majaraja Jivajirao Shinde Mahavidyalaya, Shrigonda is run by one of the leading educational institute, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara and permanently affiliated to University of Pune.  It is multifaculty college admitting students in the faculty of Arts, Commerce and Science.  The main aim is to impart education to rural masses, downtrodden & disadvantaged classes.  It is missioned to reach education to deprived classes of remote areas.
