Markham College of commerce has been established in Hazaribag town keeping in view the catering of higher education. The intellectuals and the social workers of this backward area took the decision to establish a college. The name of the proposed college was "Commerce College". The college was started in the evening shift in the premises of Hindu High School after procuring the consent of the Principal and its Managing Committee. The college has introduced recently some Vocational courses such as, Bachelor degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Law, Taxation and Practices; and Medical Lab Technology (Add-on course).
