Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, located in the NCR, is one of the best and oldest self financed engineering institutions in Uttar Pradesh. It has been conferred the prestigious UPTU Academic Excellence Award for two consecutive years in 2008 and 2009, officially ranking MIET as the 5th best Engineering College in UP. Leading in the field of technical education, it has taken several initiatives that are being followed by other institutions.
