The Model Polytechnic College was established in 1988 which is a brain child of Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) by Government of Kerala. The objective of the college is to foster growth of computers, electronic and other specialized fields. The college is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
