M.P.Nachimuthu M.Jaganathan Engineering was started by Padmashri M.P.Nachimuthu and Udyog Rattan J.Sudhanandhen as a Polytechnic. The college expanded and now offers under graduate and post graduate level courses in Management and various disciplines of Engineering.
The college has a placement center since 2001 onwards with a experienced professor as placement officer and a fulltime faculty as placement coordinator. The cell regularly arranges personality development programmes, mock interviews, implant training and industrial visits for students. Workshop on entrepreneurship is conducted every year for the students. Job Mela is conducted and many students are gainfully employed in MNCs, and reputed core industries.
