National Institute For Engineering is affiliated to Visveshwaraiah Technological University. The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in India, founded even before the Country got its Independence in 1946 by 3 retired Engineers - S. Ramaswamy, D.V Narsimha Rao and T. Rama Rao. It was the First private Engineering College in Mysore and the second in the State.
