National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) imparting advance knowledge in science and taking nation to the another level by making modern researches on various aspects of science & technology. NISER comes under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), which has been established with the aim of embedding scientific rigor within larger pedagogic practices in our country. The Institute is affiliated with Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai.  The campusof the institute is situated in the Temple city of India, Bhubanewar in Jatni town, Orissa, extended in an area of 300 acres land. The academic program was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Orissa - Shri Naveen Patnaik on 10th September 2007 at the Institute of Physics campus. NISER imparts master & doctoral programmes in science, which imparts adequate knowledge to its learners. The objective of the Institute is to train and foster human resources in the Sciences for the knowledge economies of the future.
