The Indian Institute of Science Education & Research (IISER) Mohali was established in 2007 by the Government of India, through the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), to carry out research in frontier areas of science and to provide quality science education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.   • All the classrooms institute are well furnished with all modern facilities.

Laboratory

  • The computing facility at IISER Mohali is based on Linux Platform and open-source. The facility is equipped with all the necessary and special purpose softwares required for research and development purposes. The facility has been planned with a three-fold usage in mind, namely: to impart computer skills to IISER Mohali's students, to provide network and Internet facilities to the IISER Mohali community, and to provide computation power to carry out scientific research.

Library

  • The library at IISER Mohali currently houses over 4885 monographs. The collection includes textbooks for the UG & PG programmes in the basic sciences, namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth/Environmental Science and Astrophysics.
