The mission of the college is remove educational backwardness among the rural masses of North Guwahati in particular and the vast adjacent areas in general, and to provide them an access to Higher Education, thereby giving them a social standing.

College Facility

Classroom

  • Sufficient numbers of classrooms are available in the college. All classrooms are spacious and having all required amenities. Classes of the Arts stream include Geography and Anthropology are held in separate building called Social Science Bhawan along with the Arts block. Science classes are held in Science block.

Laboratory

  • All science laboratories except Geography and Anthropology are located in the Science block. Social Science Bhawan in the Arts block accommodates the Geography and Anthropology laboratories. Laboratories are well equipped and almost all required amenities are available.

Library

  • The central library is located in the Arts block. The library building has been provided with all facilities including reading rooms for boys & girls and also teachers. It is stocked with more then 12,000 text books, reference books, news papers, journals etc.

ExtraCurricular

  • There are separate common rooms for boys and girls. The Alumni Association of the college has taken up this project for implementation as a mark of their sincere gesture and love for the alma-mater. Auditorium: The college has specious auditorium with sitting capacity of thousand people.
